For decades, crafting a designer lamp required metal molds, runs of a thousand pieces, and industrialization costs beyond the reach of independent creators. 3D printing has changed everything.
Unrivaled Freedom of Form
3D printed lamps can take on shapes that foundry or plastic injection molding are incapable of producing: organic curves, fine textures, complex openwork. At Atelier Nörea, this freedom allowed us to create the Gloomy lamp, inspired by the boletus mushroom, and the Corail lamp, inspired by marine reefs.
A Finally Eco-Friendly Material: Biosourced PLA
Unlike petroleum plastic, biosourced PLA is derived from corn starch or wood fiber. It is industrially compostable and does not use fossil resources. All Atelier Nörea lamps are printed in this material, in Brittany.
The End of Mass Production
3D printing makes it economically viable to produce in limited editions. For us, each lamp is numbered and limited to 99 copies. No stock, no surplus: we print when you order.
What about your home?
A 3D printed lamp is a rare, eco-friendly piece, manufactured near you. It tells a story — that of the object, the creator, the material. That's why we don't make lamps, but luminous sculptures.
