For a task lamp on a console, sideboard, or bedside table, the 25 to 50 cm range works in 90% of cases. The Gloomy measures 25 cm — low enough to remain discreet, present enough to be a decorative object.
2. Adjustable intensity is non-negotiable
An ambient lamp with only one intensity level is frustrating. Dimmer, in-line dimmer switch, remote control: make sure you can adjust the light according to the moment. All Atelier Nörea lamps have a dimmer or three intensity levels.
3. Material — prefer bio-based
Bio-based PLA is not petroleum plastic: it comes from corn starch or wood fiber. More environmentally friendly, more durable, and it imparts a real organic texture to the object.
4. Origin — Made in France is not just a slogan
A locally printed lamp means less transport, higher quality finish, and an accessible designer. Our workshop is in Brittany — each piece is numbered and signed.
